Significance of Skanda Sashti Festival

Skanda Sashti is one of the most important festivals dedicated to Lord Murugan. It commemorates the victory of Lord Murugan over the demon Soorapadman.

The festival is celebrated for six days, representing the six days of battle. During this period, devotees observe fasting, perform special poojas, and recite the Skanda Sashti Kavacham for protection and blessings.
